Comparison: Old and New Version of Etude House: Dear Darling Tint (RD302 & RD301) [Dear Darling Water Gel Tint]

Left: Dear Darling Tint in shade Vampire Red RD302 (old version)
Right: Dear Darling Water Gel Tint in shade Real Red RD301 (new version)
The company changed it’s famed product title into Dear Darling Water Gel Tint. In line with the changing of this product title, the formula of this lip tint is also changed, and certainly changed to be better than before!

Here are the comparisons between the old and new version of this lip tint...

1. Packaging
  • Old Version

The old version’s tube is taller and curvier, and also the cap is colored metallic mauve.
The barcode on the back looks so basic.

  • New version
The new version has pink colored cap, the product title font is changed and also the bottom of the tube is curvy to make sure there's no product wasted because the applicator couldn't reach the end of the tube.
The barcode on the back has lip shaped sticker which looks appealing.
2. Applicator

The applicator between two versions look precisely the same.

3. Texture
  • Old version
The old version’s texture looks aqueous.
  • New version
The new version has a few bubbles because of it's gel and juicy texture.

3. Swatches on Arm

Below: Dear Darling Water Gel Tint RD301 (new version)
After a few moment I wiped off both of the products.
It's visible that the new version is more pigmented than the old one.

CONCLUSIONS

Pros:
I liked the new version better than the old one, because it's more pigmented and last longer. Also the texture is not too watery than the old one so it's easier to apply.

For the price, it's not much different. It's around IDR 50k until under 100k depends on where you get it.

It comes with new magnificent shades. (more shades: https://goo.gl/images/v5uzmx)

Also it doesn't make your lips dry.

Cons:
Because I have dry and chapped lips, sometimes when my lips are in the terribly dry times, the product left red spots on my lips and it look so horrible. For those who has the same problem as mine, I advise to wear chapsticks whenever you feel like you're needing it.

Because of it's gel texture, it tend to be wasteful. I've only swatched it for like five times and it's visible that the product has dwindled around 1 to 2 cm on the tube.

Lastly, thank you so much for reading this, I hope it's beneficial.
